This bottle of New Amsterdam vodka had a cool background, so I:
- cleaned the bottle out
- found a soap bottle top that fit
- punctured a hole in the blue metal top
- cut away the thick plastic in the middle of the original dispenser
- filled with soap that matched the original color of the liquor
The not-so-easy part, however, is that you won't always find the soap top that fits on the first try (hence the cutting of the plastic).
This is an example of the top of the soap used (Iced Gingerbread by Bath & Body Works) not fitting the liquor bottle. After a couple tries from other tops, I found the perfect fit.
This is also an example of a bottle that didn't need any puncturing in its top. The dispenser just screwed right on.
I'm sure each bottle is different with each its own easy parts and hard parts. Nevertheless, this DIY project was probably one of the simpler ones I've done lately. Cheers!
